Hi my name is Ed,
I developed an interest in the game of soccer during the 2002 World Cup games. The
fast pace, the roaring crowds, and the incredible moves of the players all came
together in an exciting way that was hard to ignore. As the years went by, that
interest developed into a genuine love for the game. It seems I’m not the only one,
as the sport seems to be picking up steam here in the United States.
In an effort to better understand this game, I’ve decided to try to learn how to
play it. Don’t get me wrong. At age 36, I’m a little past my prime, but I’m still
willing to try to learn the skills required to play.
I created this blog not only to keep myself motivated, but also to pass along what
I learn in the process. Anyone who wants to learn how to play - no matter your age,
or gender - can benefit from what I share here. In addition, if you have any tips
or drills that you would like to pass along, then please share. I encourage everyone
